The Gold Coast light rail system is now completed and fully operational. It connects the heavy rail at Helensvale (one station South ofCoomera) to the inner-city suburbs of the Gold Coast: Southport, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. It also connects with the Griffith
University Gold Coast campus (the Gold Coasts largest) and the recently built, state of the art Gold Coast Hospital.
